Recession is effecting the fashion market - skip the downs and go up for New Years!
New Years, Christmas, all Wonderful Party's..but..
What to Wear for New Year..
Looking good equals feeling good
Christmas and New Years? resist splurging in the dresses for all your upcomming parties?
Well Yes and No..
Roberto Cavalli surprised by stepping away from animal print heading towards beautiful "Michelangelo" looking prints Spring-2009
A Market that goes down effect Designers to skip the silk and go for cotton, (black was on the headlines for as normal often bright colours for spring) and Louis Vuitton surprised with a mix of poor women in a old France, making the cloths in dark colours and spoke about an after war dress scene..Is it that bad I thought? When the times get's thougher isn't then we need to add some colours to it? We still fall in love, still celebrate birthdays and weddings, life goes on, right? The most important way to cope a crashing market is to not crash with it, get the perfect dress for New Years, feeling great will be the best ticket back to a New Year, yes a New fresh one with promises to make and dreams to be fullfilled.
I say go for colour, isn't it when it rains that we need the sun the most?
There is always ways to get a bargain and a party wardrobe that with a bit of added details can look simply stunning and different for every occation..
John Galliano isn't too worried and this Spring Collection was all about English Fairytales, Royal Guards and oversized hats and wigs..
"Do you have any Tips where to buy cheaper dresses, New Years outfits, and mabye an idea what to wear..Great if you would add a comment in this Blog"I talked to my friend back in Sweden today, snow..heavy wet snow that quickly turns brown and muddy from traffic jams and snowboots. And then the market that suddenly just dropped, all over the world and of course in that narrow nordic country too. Taken by surprise people sold stocks and perhaps even their stockings? No Christmas gifts this year, mabye just a simply black recycled dress (worn last year?) and leaning torwards just skipping everything remotly nice and blingy to stay safe? But then after saying goodbye on the phone, it just hit me. Isn't it now, when all is really Depressing that we need thoose Christmas gifts extra much, need to splurge with wine and champagne under endless starfilled skies watching fireworks of a million blast away. We need to feel great and look great? Anyways, depression or no depression, the most important one is not be depressed yourself.
