Maternity wear with personality!Try HATCH or some Free People...
Winter is approaching the beach town Tauranga, New Zealand but I am refusing to spend more time talking about that, nope, I am having bigger things on my mind. Like the lack of waistline and how I can’t wait to see the baby that I’ve been carrying for now 39 weeks. In the meantime I have been getting by recycling my most basic and stretchy clothes found well tucked away from my first pregnancy.
A grey skirt from Velvet, an over-sized maternity t-shirt from Splendid and a Tiger Lily beach tunic has been worn to literally shreds. I am officially an expert of sourcing the biggest, widest yet ‘least lady looking’ garments in any store visited, whether it’s a pair of wide legged beach pants or ‘real’ maternity wear from a brand like HATCH I am there, squeezing myself into it. Fashion trends right now offers a lot of options though(which I’m by the way ever so grateful for) shirts are big, pants are sweeping and wide, maxi dresses are floaty and tube tops is there, say Free People for example that stocks a wide range of cosy beach styles with plenty of space to be comfortable yet stylish in (I’d hate to lose my entire identity just for the sake of being comfortable)…so pieces from their range has been a life saver!
..so the countdown is official and with only days to go, I’ll soon say goodbye to those pieces of my wardrobe again, perhaps even store them somewhere else, in a celebratory box way back in that emptied closet space again..Until next time that is:-)
