what a difference a week makes...
It’s mid august and for anyone ‘down under’ it’s spring time. At least it’s heading that way. I can feel it, the light lingers longer in the evenings, the birds sing early and late and it’s sort of in the wind, a mild fragrant earthy smell. I love it, in fact…there’s a lot I love right now. I love the fact that I’m on top of my weight after having my second baby.
Finally I’m starting to shed some of that extra kg’s, in fact 4 kg down in just a few days so far and it’s all thanks to milk and bananas. Well, not entirely those to components, there’s also a magic soup involved and running around after a toddler :-) Celebrating my recent weight loss I did something I’ve wanted to do for ages, I tried on a pair of jeans.
As a soft start I’m thinking ‘boyfriend slacks’ with ripped details, nothing to tight at this delicate stage. I have been eyeing some labels online as well and I’m so happy about ‘boyfriend’ fits. A few seasons back it was almost impossible to get something slouchy and worn looking at the same time and now there’s options galore, from the not so wallet friendly but oh so eye-candy friendly DSQUARED2 to one of my all time jeans favourite: True Religion. But being an true Levis girl (it was one of my first employments, working part time in a Levi’s Strauss store in Sweden-in 1995) my denim purchase for this month was something from Levi’s Vintage Clothing,a coverall jumpsuit in a true miner’s girl spirit. I went for Medium but could have squeezed into a small actually, that’s because it’s a big size garment, don’t you just love slouchy pieces that makes you feel like you’ve lost a few sizes:-xxxx
