Booties and knits..A little bit of attitude goes a long way..

I am exploring the craters and steaming mud pools of Rotaroua in NZ. It's not as amazing as the first visit here, a few months ago. My newly arrived mom tough needs to see and explore everything as well so there will be a few re-runs when in North Island.

It's now the 3 day on the road and I am still buzzing from yesterdays announcement of me and my partner Ross big engagement. We surprised both his friends and his parents by bringing champagne and glasses to his dads house, organising everyone to show up with 'Alice is having her mom over, wanna say hello?' as reason to show up.

I then watched as his face turned red and his hands a little sweaty while telling everyone starring at us that I was the love of his life and that we got engaged. They had all gathered in a half circle facing us in the middle..All smiles after the speech and then some pictures..I am so in love with this man I kept on thinking..and now I carry this beautiful ring, his ring on my finger.

I am now  having a little break from all the planning and panflipp reading here in Rotaroua by sitting with my laptop. Soon we are going to devote ourselves in to the tourist activities that are up on offer again, Hells Gate, Rainbow Springs, and Maori performance ..all with spirit and a little bit of attitude:-)..xx Alice
