In the lack of a TV aerial I have found myself digging through our old boxes of DVD's and I am so happy for all those cheap vintage movies we've picked up, like Flash dance, original Fame, The Key to my Success and Wall Street with the young and witty Charlie Sheen..I was surprised that Flash dance 'took to me' so much, the cut out and over sized sweatshirts, the classic leg warmers and the soft curls. I cant believe that all the girls was wearing so much make-up..The 80s Fashion and 80s fancy dress is all coming back in sections scattered out between collections and labels. As I wondered around on Cuba street today I had a look at some mainstream shops all stocking big sweaters, leggings (not as flowery printed as then) and happy to see that large shoulder pads hasn't made an unwanted revival. There is plenty of charming 70s movies in the back of the boxes too and I'll be happy going through them as well, that's the maxi dress fashion blended in between the hangers of a 2011 take on the 80s or the 70's fancy dress ball for example. For more browsing there's Fancydressball.co.uk which stocks plenty of choices..
Wood bangles, chain strappy bag, leather waist belt, oversized layered and rolled up, just as we like it right now..
