Packing my bag and heading to a tropical beach, in NZ you don't have to. For me, being from a nordic country it's tropical enough, watching stingrays 'fly' under the surface of a turqoise colored bay and cabbage trees and palmtrees growing along rocky coastlines. It is beautiful.. When cold gets colder in New Zealand I have found ways to still look fashionable even if the winter nippy winds fills fields and surrounding valleys here in Palmerston North. The secret is wearing a dress combined with a heavy knit. A beach look doesn't always have to include a bikini or a slick swimsuit, it can simply be a pair of high heels and a vintage dress, next mission..to find that strawhat..

I am so happy for the bigger come back of the flower prints. I tought about my flower printed leggings that I jumped around in during the 80's, disco time and there I was again, wearing a flower printed puffy dress.

A Folklore printed, embroidered or lacy top/tunic/dress can easily be converted to a autumn garment with a heavy knit on top, as a matter of fact..they go great together.

Here is some darlings that I came across while shopping in Matamata and Cambridge NZ this weekend. With a pair of leggings or skinny fit drainpipe looking jeans and boots or roman sandals and bare legs( for the summer nights) these items are a dream come true. A tunic slash dress is a great item in a wardrobe just for that reason that you could either dress it up, combining it with high heels and a 'biker jacket' or dress casual by wearing worn jeans and flip flops..I am happy with my new best friends that are hanging in my closet..see more..
