I have been wardrobe cleaning, in lack of any sun outside. So, our ‘painting the house venture’ has officially been put on hold. Watching the scaffolding standing wet and gloomy outside I have forced myself to deal with another very important matter, the fact that I’m not using or wearing half of my inventory, my wardrobe that is... 

I love my new cable knitted sweater from Funktional. It has the right ‘chunky ness’ to spend an entire lazy Monday morning in, that worn with my (now a few month old and very well used) Alexander Wang casual sweat-shirt shorts. It's these sort of staple pieces that make a post pregnancy wardrobe well worn…Wish you all a great start of another new week!

I want what ‘Carrie’ had while sheltering from the rain. With Sex and the City still fresh in my mind (yes, I know it’s been ages since the last movie came out) but I still haven’t recovered from Sarah Jessica Parkers style choices and the somewhat wet looking leather clutch that she carelessly scrunches up under her arm while calling Samantha from NY.  

The weather keeps surprising with unusually high degrees and sunny blue skies, happily our painting plans went ahead and with muscle aches and both of us craving a ‘builders beer' I remembered that it’s Mothers-Day in New Zealand tomorrow...

The radio adverts on the radio channel ‘coast’ have been advertising “not to forget mom tomorrow” specials have been raining in and I can’t help thinking; I’m a mom too…If your a mom or a daughter, don't forget to spread a little love to your close one:)

It’s been such a beautiful day here in Tauranga. I had a planned coffee group to go to and decided to walk all the way to get there, 25 minutes with the baby in a front pack, giggling with my little sweetheart most of the way...

I have decided that mornings are the best time to surf, not bringing a salty drenched board under my arm jumping over the dunes to get there (admittedly) we have the beach about 159 steps away…No, I’m not surfing that way, even tough it wouldn’t be such a bad idea… 

Good Morning dear reader! I am sitting by my very sort of chestnut stained and very vintage Kauri table (I can’t believe that people were allowed to cut those beautiful massive 2000 year old tree’s down) that was in an era when whale stations and clubbing seals was as common as saloons and dodgy pharmaceuticals.

A lot can happen in a year… And with that said I have had my birthday today. My husband woke me up with a cake, pretty candles, a magically written Birthday card and a surprise at 11. 

I have felt so happy these last couple of days and count myself officially back from any fever or sickness, yay…Another ‘a reason to be happy’ was yesterday’s pick me up beach walk, dinner/barbeque and beer tasting bonanza with our best friend couple Rachel and AJ.
